Pikotaro — PPAP Song
Few artists have ever done so much with so little as Pikotaro.
This is soooo much my cup of tea, in terms of humor. I can see myself doing this, with absolutely no shame whatsoever.
I strongly recommend enjoying this little piece of silliness!

Pikotaro — The Poet of the Absurd
Born Kazuhiko Kosaka in Japan, he became a global meme in 2016 with PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen) — a 45-second earworm so ridiculous it looped through the internet like a fever dream. The genius wasn’t in complexity, but in timing: the perfect mix of nonsense, rhythm, and showmanship that left you both confused and delighted.
Beneath the leopard print and surreal choreography sits a veteran comedian who understands exactly how absurdity works. Pikotaro didn’t stumble into virality — he engineered it with precision. The minimalist beat, the hypnotic repetition, the deadpan grin — all tuned to make the world laugh for no reason at all.
He’s continued performing, writing, and experimenting under his alter ego, never taking fame too seriously. Because that’s his trick — he reminds us that joy doesn’t need translation, and sometimes nonsense is the most honest art form of all.
