Please don’t stay the way you are,
For stillness slowly steals the flame,
We meet as sparks in younger years
And time will never leave us same.
We will not be the ones we were,
Nor should we ever try to stay,
For hearts are drawn in moving ink
And grief redraws them on the way.
Some drift into the darker roads
And lose the light they used to know,
But even then the path must stay—
A chance to turn, a chance to grow.
So if we change and part one day,
I’ll bless the souls we had to be,
And whisper, soft but honestly:
Please keep changing…
as you have.
