I know, it has been a while…. and I was actually busy!
There is a long-lasting love I feel for Trance and Ambient music, which is based on first-hand experience back in the 80s. This is as long ago as it surprises to learn, that they called this kind of music Techno.
All this was long before Techno became mainstream and when we stopped listening to it.
Ever since I’ve been stuck to Oldschool. And therefore it’s nice to find some new Oldschool!
Try this – have fun!

Tom Misch — Groove with a Soul
Tom Misch doesn’t make songs; he builds moods.
Born in London, he came up through the SoundCloud generation but never sounded like it. Where others chased clicks, Misch chased tone — the warmth of a Fender, the sway of a jazz chord, the pulse that sits somewhere between funk, soul, and late-night calm.
His breakout tracks, like Movie and It Runs Through Me, feel effortless — lush guitar lines, smooth vocals, and a rhythm that always lands just behind the beat. There’s precision in his looseness, a kind of studied relaxation that only comes from obsession.
Beyond his solo work, he’s produced, remixed, and collaborated with artists across genres — from Yussef Dayes to Loyle Carner — creating a bridge between old-school musicianship and modern DIY culture.
Tom Misch proves that groove can still have depth, that jazz can live in a playlist, and that being chill doesn’t mean being simple.
